Osteopenia (thinning of the bones) and osteoporosis (porous bones) are a point of concern for all women. By the time we reach 35, we've produced the lion's share of our new bone cells, and it slows down from there. Osteopenia is not just for post-menopausal women: it concerns all women of all ages, because what we do today will impact our tomorrow. I have seen stunningly beautiful, fit, reasonably young (under 40) women whose bones are giving out on them. Bone Density 101: A Primer for Women of All Ages gives a simple explanation in lay language of how bone loss happens, and what you can do to prevent and even reverse it.
