Berry season always meant special baked goods during the summers of my childhood: muffins and pies were a part of holidays on the coast of Maine. Blueberries, raspberries, wild strawberries and blackberries abound in that part of the world, and we would pick them by the bucketful, eating as many as we dropped into the basket. Blueberry Lemon Muffins and Raspberry Crunch Muffins are odes to childhood memories, with a gentle tweak to make them a bit more healthy than the originals.
